Catawba/Wateree Rereational Flow Release Schedule for 2008 -
August 27, 2007 Update: Persistent drought conditions, declining lake levels and streamflows has caused Duke to declare a
C-W LIP Stage 2 drought condition. Saturday recreation flows from the Bridgewater and Oxford Hydroelectric Stations will be
discontinued effective immediately for the duration of the drought.

Dan River/Kibler Valley
Danville Power and Light will release on Saturdays every weekend starting on the first Saturday in July and ending on the last Saturday in September (unless there is a drought).
Falls Lake Dam (Neuse River)
Call 919-846-9332 option 1. The recording states the Falls Lake water temperature, lake elevation and current release volume and is usually updated Monday-Friday at 8am. If the release changes during the day another update is typically provided.

Nantahala - Calendar/Schedule
Duke Energy has confirmed that the Nantahala Power Plant will be shut
down for maintenance from October 27 to December 16, 2008. This will mean
that there will be no generation and consequently no recreational
flows during this period. They are no plans to release water through
the bypass.
