Lorraine Burnham, Secretary/Treasurer

As a resident of Raleigh, the CCC is my home paddling club. I have served as the club's Secretary / Treasurer since July of 2008. I would like to continue my involvement with CCC in this capacity. I have been a member of CCC for three years and taken two safety clinics and attended the novice/intermediate clinics three times. A number of people in the club helped me progress from being afraid to flip over during roll practice to successfully running the New River Gorge this year during Gauley Fest. I gained the majority of my paddling skills and experience with people from CCC and want to support the club and the programs it provides. This year I have also had the pleasure to have helped mentor a few newer paddlers by organizing two N/I trips posted to the OTL and one during Week of Rivers. Getting involved in the whitewater paddling community has been one of the best personal decisions I've ever made.
